On 6 November 2025, DUT-COLINE coordinator Balázs Lengyel presented our work at the conference “Városi életminőség és közlekedés” (Urban Quality of Life and Transport) in Budapest. His talk, “Közösségi közlekedés a 15-perces városban” (Public transport in the 15-minute city) showed how DUT-COLINE uses mobility data to understand and improve everyday accessibility in European cities.

The research of the Italian COLINE partners, titled „Time-space dynamics of income segregation in the city of Milan” combines big data and urban science. It has reached a wider audience thanks to the recent news coverage in the Italian newspapers "La Repubblica" and "Avvenire".

On September 29th, prior to the DUT Kick-off in Milan, DUT-COLINE coordinator Balázs Lengyel and Riccardo Di Clemente from the ISI Foundation, work package leader in the project, met with Emmanuele Strano, Director of MindEarth, to explore opportunities for collaboration.

The recent workshop on complex systems and human mobility provided an inspiring forum for advancing research and exploring how mobility data connects to urban equity and AI.

On 3 September, COLINE joined an online DUT Knowledge Hub event, which brought together projects from the 2023 call to exchange ideas and approaches. The Knowledge Hubs are designed to help projects build on their results and foster collaboration around the 15-Minute City (15mC) concept.

The European Mobility Week celebrations in Budapest provided an excellent opportunity for COLINE to connect with local stakeholders and explore how data-driven planning, shared mobility, and civic participation can contribute to more sustainable urban transport systems.

On May 31st, COLINE welcomed Matteo Bruno, Associate Researcher at Sony Computer Science Laboratory, for a highly interesting webinar on his recent paper, “A universal framework for inclusive 15-minute cities”.

DUT-COLINE kicked off in Budapest, focusing on AI- and data-driven insights for more liveable and accessible cities.
